8-Day Lemosho Route – Premium Acclimatization & Scenic Beauty

$2,800 / person

Description

The Lemosho Route is frequently hailed as the most beautiful and well-rounded path up Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting from the remote Londorossi Gate on the western side, it traverses pristine rainforest (with potential wildlife like monkeys and buffalo), the vast and dramatic Shira Plateau, and the southern circuit before summiting Uhuru Peak (5,895m). This premium 8-day camping itinerary includes an extended acclimatization day on the Shira Plateau, providing superior "climb high, sleep low" adaptation and some of the highest summit success rates available (~90–95%+). With fewer initial crowds, breathtaking scenery, and excellent preparation for the summit push, it's the top choice for climbers prioritizing beauty, comfort, and maximum success probability.

Lemosho 8 days was perfect—the extra acclimatization day on Shira made a huge difference. No altitude issues at all, and the plateau views were unreal. Wildlife in the forest was a bonus. Summit was magical; this is the best route for success and beauty.
