How Do the 2-Day Packages Compare?

The four packages differ only in the Day 1 excursion; the villa night, breakfast and free beach day are the same in each.

The lower price applies to groups of four or more and the higher price to a solo traveller, because the villa, transport and guiding are shared across your group.

What Is Included in a 2-Day Package?

• Pick-up from the airport or your hotel, and final drop-off
• All transfers between the excursion, the villa and the beach
• The Day 1 excursion with a licensed English and Swahili-speaking guide, including entrance fees and boat transfers where needed
• Lunch on Day 1 and bottled water
• One night in our private villa with breakfast

Not included: meals other than those listed, beach activities and water sports, optional extras such as snorkel hire, drinks, tips, travel insurance and Zanzibar's mandatory visitor insurance.

What Does a Typical 2-Day Schedule Look Like?

• Day 1, morning: pick-up from the airport or your hotel and the start of your excursion (around 7:00 AM for Safari Blue, later for the land tours)
• Day 1, midday: lunch as part of the excursion
• Day 1, evening: check in at the villa and relax by the pool
• Day 2, morning: breakfast at the villa, then transfer to the beach at Nungwi or Kendwa
• Day 2, afternoon: free time, then a transfer to the airport or your next hotel, timed to your plans

Timings are adjusted to your arrival and departure, so a late flight on Day 1 or an early flight on Day 2 can usually be accommodated.

Where Do You Stay?

You stay in our private Swahili-style villa in Shakani, a quiet coastal village in Zanzibar's West district. It has a pool, a tropical garden, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, with breakfast cooked each morning. The villa is used only by your group. Its cost is shared: $120 per night for one traveller, $60 each for two, and $30 each for groups of four or more, which is why per-person prices fall as your group grows.

Why Spend Day 2 at Nungwi or Kendwa?

Nungwi and Kendwa on the north coast have a small tidal range, so you can swim at almost any time of day, unlike the east coast where the sea retreats far at low tide. Both have beachfront restaurants and good sunsets. Our Zanzibar beach guide compares every coast.

Is Two Days Enough in Zanzibar?

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days may incur a partial fee, depending on bookings already made on your behalf.
