Each package puts its guided excursions at the start of the trip and leaves Days 3 and 4 free, so the second half of your stay is a true beach holiday. All three include four nights in our private villa with breakfast.

What Is Included in a 5-Day Package?

• Pick-up from the airport or your hotel, and final drop-off
• All transfers for the excursions in your itinerary

• Four nights in our private villa with breakfast
• Bottled water during excursions

What Can You Do on Your Free Days?

Days 3 and 4 are yours. Many guests spend them on the north-coast beaches at Nungwi or Kendwa, where the sea stays close enough to swim at almost any tide; our Zanzibar beach guide compares every coast. Popular optional extras, at extra cost, include:

Where Do You Stay?

All four nights are in our private Swahili-style villa in Shakani, a quiet coastal village in Zanzibar's West district. It has a pool, a tropical garden, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, with breakfast cooked each morning, and it is used only by your group. Staying in one place for the whole holiday means you unpack once.

Who Should Choose Five Days?

Five days suits honeymooners, families who don't want early starts every day, and travellers recovering from a Kilimanjaro climb or a long safari. Combining Zanzibar with the Mainland

Zanzibar is a short flight from Arusha, Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti airstrips, and a ferry ride from Dar es Salaam. A common plan is a 3- to 6-day safari followed by five days on the island. We can book the connecting domestic flights and transfers so the whole trip runs as one itinerary. What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days may incur a partial fee, depending on bookings already made on your behalf.
