How Do the 3-Day Packages Compare?

All four packages end with a free beach day on Day 3 and include two villa nights with breakfast. They differ in the first two days: which excursions you take and whether Day 2 is a full guided day or a lighter day with a free afternoon.

The lower price applies to groups of four or more and the higher price to a solo traveller, because the villa, transport and guiding are shared across your group.

What Is Included in a 3-Day Package?

• Entrance fees for the sites in your itinerary, including Salaam Cave, and boat transfers where needed

Not included: meals other than those listed, beach activities and water sports, optional extras such as snorkel hire and Stone Town museums, drinks, tips, travel insurance and Zanzibar's mandatory visitor insurance. Each package page lists its exact inclusions.

2, 3 or 4 Days: How Long Should You Stay?

Three days is the shortest stay that fits two different excursions and a full beach day without rushing. Choose two days if you only have time for one highlight, or four days or more if you want extra time at the beach.

Salaam Cave: Swimming with Turtles at Kizimkazi

Salaam Cave is a natural cave at Kizimkazi on Zanzibar's south coast, where you swim with sea turtles in a pool of clear turquoise water, alongside tropical fish. You can swim and snorkel in the pool and explore the cave's rock formations, so bring swimwear and a towel. Please don't touch or chase the turtles; let them come to you. It is included in every 3-day package and is the main thing the extra day adds compared with our 2-day packages. On the Stone Town packages the same day also includes Jozani Forest to see the red colobus monkeys, while the Prison Island and Safari Blue packages leave the afternoon free.

Where Do You Stay?

You spend both nights in our private Swahili-style villa in Shakani, a quiet coastal village in Zanzibar's West district. It has a pool, a tropical garden, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, with breakfast cooked each morning. The villa is used only by your group, and its cost is shared, which is why per-person prices fall as your group grows. Staying in one place for both nights means no repacking between excursion days.

When Is the Best Time for a 3-Day Zanzibar Trip?

Our 3-day packages run all year. June to October is dry and cooler, the most comfortable time for walking tours and forest trails. December to February is hot, with calm seas and excellent beach weather. The long rains of April and May bring frequent showers and lower prices, and November has short, usually brief rains. Can you pick us up from the airport?

Yes. Every 3-day package includes pick-up from Zanzibar Airport or your hotel, and the final drop-off is timed to your departure.

Is the beach day guided?

No. Day 3 is free time at Nungwi or Kendwa, with transfers included, so you can swim, relax or book water sports locally.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days may incur a partial fee, depending on bookings already made on your behalf.
